Allergies
We are moving from Michigan to N. Carolina very near Viginia. I have a allergy to something this summer and so does my 6 year old. Eyes get sticky, ears feel like there going to explode and feel dizzy sometimes and then some days nothing. What if any would the differences be from MIchigan and we live in the country and N. Carolina. I have problems before Doctor gave me stuff and I have bought some over the counter. My 6 year old has medicine the doctor gave him to but I'm not sure it really does anything.

As a life-long allergy sufferer, I can relate to your problems! Over the years I've run the gamut of pills, over-the-counter as well as prescription. In reality, all you do is trade one set of problems for another set of problems caused by taking chemicals.
Each year I check the various heathy living sites for the newest and latest advancements for allergy treatment. I'm beginning to see that the majority of research points to an impaired immune system. Whether by stress, undiagnosed illnesses, or various environmental factors, the end result seems to manifest itself as allergy symtoms.
Something I've noticed that seems to work "minor miracles" for my own pollen-related allergies is the liquid extract of echanacea and goldenseal. These are herbs, incidentally. No guarantees, of course, but taking it as per instructions on the bottle may make an improvement in your allergy symtoms.
Look up these two herbs on the internet. A little knowledge never hurts! But you might give it a try, if you find nothing else suffices. Good luck!

Just moved from NC to Michigan- allergies
Well, I need to answer your question since I just moved from North Carolina to Michigan.
I lived in Western NC for two years and suffered terribly with allergies. I heard over and over how much worse people's allergies are when they move to NC.
My allergies were much worse BUT I don't know if it was coincidence that my allergies worsened or if NC truely was the problem...
I went to an Allergiest in NC and she said she wished she had a dollar for every patient that moved to NC from else and claimed thier allergies were worse. She said this is true.
I moved back to Michigan three weeks ago and I haven't felt any better yet. But, I do have a case of severe allergies and will be starting immunotherapy very soon.

get local honey when you move. it did wonders for my allergies. they were bad allergies too. Find a local honey farm or just a grocery store that sells local honey. You ingest the allergens and build up a tolerance. only thing that worked for me.

MY allergies settled way down once I discoverd the nedi pot and started using it. I could not believe how much that simple solution setteled them down. You can find them on the internet or the drug stores now sell sinus flush kits.

I actually went to the doctor today because my eyes were draining so much I thought I had pink eye. Got some drops. I use Sea Salt when I have a sinus headache. It usually hurts in the same pressure spot. You sniff it up your nose with the other nose closed. Now I won't lie it burns and your eyes will water but then your nose will start to run like you have a bad cold. I think right now I have been pscking and things are turn upside down so I hope it won't get worse.

I stopped taking meds and did a few cleanses. That could help you but kids shouldnt detox. When you feel those feelings coming on take a cool shower or rinse your face and hands off really well and drink 2 glasses of water in a row. It really helps. Its wierd to me how much it helps.

From what I've read, this is what I'd try also.
Makes sense .. plus it tastes good!
