Yes, absolutely. And you can get little gadgets to fill the capsules.
I actually like to drink things like this ... i dunno why but i prefer it.
It doesn't taste bad at all but i've been ingesting funky herbs and the like for many years. Cayenne (another great supplement but i don't know if it's anti-inflammatory) is a bit more of a challenge. You gotta chase it with water pronto or your throat will be on fire.
The turmeric doesn't stain the teeth if you brush right away. I rinse really well before i brush as well so that i don't have a funky looking toothbrush.

Hi there!
For my joint pains I use omega 3 fish oil, 3 times a day. 2 ginger capsules at night, 1-3 cups of green tea a day and blueberries daily. I also use a decent amount of extra virgin olive oil and stay active!!

I took this formula from the health food store that contained MSM, hyaluronic acid, and chondroitin. It helped. I've also read a lot about an enzyme called seerapeptase or serrapeptidase, which is supposed to be very effective at reducing inflammation and reducing pain.

Ester-C has bioflavanoids(rutin) that help with anti-inflammatory conditions. It's worked great to keep my sciatica nerve under control.

Devil's Claw is a huge seller in Europe as an anti-inflammatory and pain killer.
White willow bark contains salicylic acid which is basically what aspirin is. Native Peoples used to chew on it as a pain reliever.

Because I have a constant potential for, and have had experience with, both DeQuervain's (somewhat similar to carpal tunnel syndrome) and hand-joint arthritis, I take no chances!!
Every single day forever, I take 1,000mg of Carlson's good Norwegian Salmon Oil, full of Omega-3, and 100mg of Vitamin B-6 which for decades has always healed any hint (or more) of DeQuervain's.

Great points, everyone! I think I rep'd all those that I could. Appreciate the inputs.
To those of you who take fish oil, I commend you. I can't because it grosses me out when it revisits me during the day.
6/3, I can easily eat a half can of red salmon at one sitting! (Except that I can't buy it for $1.80 here - more like $2.80!  ). Your explanation about Omega 6s (if I understand the issue correctly) seems to be right in line with the study announced on news this morning that people on the Atkins diet improved their cholesterol levels more than those on other diets. Makes sense to me.
Ahhh...virgin olive oil, first cold press...gotta love it. My favorite salad dressing is a bit of olive oil and the juice of half a lemon. Can't get enough of it.
Ira, I take the supplements you mentioned; the hyaluronic (sp?) acid I take separately just because I added recently. Thanks for the enzyme info. I'll look for it.
Cinnamon - will have to add it. Don't consume enough of that in my diet. Ester-C we take, and give it to our doggies, too! I didn't realize it helps inflammation.
Ginger root taken at bedtime, does it not upset the stomach? I know I can feel it when I take a cayenne capsule.

Serrapeptase! It's easy to take and works like a charm. I discovered it a few months ago when doing a search for an alternative to Ibuprophen, which I was using to ease the residual toothache pain from some dental work. It didn't seem to do much for the toothache, but it cleared up my long standing sinus congestion almost overnite. I've been using it regualrly since then and my sinuses are in much better shape.

Thank you for that! I'd love to have an alternative to ibuprofen, and will go look into serrapeptase pronto!

Well, I'll add something I haven't seen mentioned in the thread: oat grass.
You can get it at an apothocary shop (never saw it at a health food or vitamin shop). It's about $4.00 for 3 oz which will make enough tea for one serving a day for a couple of weeks. It looks like chopped up green straw and you just steep it in hot water for 5 minutes. Add cinamon and honey or lemon and it's not bad at all.
I heard about this on a shingles support board and I was in so much pain I tried everything. This really did work to ease the inflamation. Hope it works for the OP.
