I don't have the classic allergic reaction like hives or swelling, but I noticed several years ago that artificial sweetners drop my blood sugar levels quickly. I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia when I was 6 years old so it's been life long attempt to deal with it. I religiously read labels now and avoid all artificial sweetner like the plague. It's very important to read the label or if you are eating out, try to look up the ingredients online because sucralose (Splenda) is in so many foods now. Cereal, bars, wraps, dressings, etc.

Sweet n Low, Equal and Splenda didn't seem to bother me much but I bought Truvia and was having to run to the bathroom all day. Don't know if it was a coincidence since I haven't tried it again since.

pekemom, thanx for the info. I have been wondering if anyome had experienced any adverse affects from Truvia. I am hesitant to try it because it is so new and I have not heard much about other's experiences with it.
