A friend recently recommended that I give my daughter Bazi Juice as a suppliment.
My 17-year old is in a coma and has suffered sever brain trauma. In addition to the regimine of medications that she is on, several people, including her doctors recommended barley green and carrot juice (which I have started).
Now I've been recommended for her to take an ounce of Bazi Juice in the morning and one in the evening.
Wirelessany1.....Bazi does have alot of antioxidents and looks fine to me so if you want to give that to her that should be fine as the Polyphenols should help in the healing process.
However have you looked into the Omega-3 fatty acids. I'm not sure how you feed her and if a fat can be fed to her in a Tube or IV etc...but i would research that and see what you think.
We know the brain is made up of almost completely of fats especially the kinds that we eat as Neurons and their Synapses are made of it especially the DHA part of the Fat.. Another thing is with the trauma there's gonna be inflammation and Omega-3's are powerful anti-inflammatories especially the EPA part of the Fat Also the Blood Brain Barrier keeps most substances out but fatty acids can cross it into the Brain easily hence the Omega-3's can get to the inflammed tissue.
Do you remember the Mine collapse in West Virginia several years back when everyone died but one man Miraculously survived with no oxygen ....in an interview with him afterwards that i watched he stated that he was a fish eater before the incident and after the incident his family fed him Fish Oils and he not only survived but recovered with little to no Brain damamge.
Those are my thoughts as i'd research the Omega-3 Fatty Acids and see what you think as it's DHA rebuilds Neurons and Synapses and it's EPA reduces inflammation.

Thank you so much for your advice. I will definitely look into the Omega-3's.
6/3, i think that is great advice. Wireless, I am surprised but happy to hear Drs suggesting barley green and carrot juice. Good luck and I wish the best for your daughter.
