female, wash my hair every 7-10 days. my hair is SUPER dry, especially now that winter's coming. and I don't use shampoo anymore, I just cowash w/ a good conditioner that doesn't have SLS (I like to splurge on Aubrey Organics products, but it can get pricey. lucky I don't use it often). I also don't use hair dryers, just let my hair air dry (which can take a while w/ my hair, so I wash it in the late afternoons after class)
Female, every day at night. I have fairly long hair (past shoulders) & it's rare that I won't wash it every day. I don't use mousse, usually only blow dry my bangs. In the morning, I usually redo the bangs then the ends with a round brush. My hair is pin straight & fine but I have a lot.
The products you use also have a lot to do with it, as well as your hairs natural oils. I try to use something that's more on the mild side, whether it's TresSume or Aussie shampoo. I used to love Herbal Essence but they did away with my favorite shampoo
I do color my hair but not monthly like most people. I would have to say I color maybe with the season's change, so probably 4 times per year, maybe less, depends.
I'm a woman and wash mine every day. It is fine, not oily, but I can't stand not to wash it every day. I don't see how anyone can go a whole week without washing. That's like not taking a shower every day. If nothing else, hair picks up odors from cooking and cigarettes (if one is around those nasty things). Also, with getting hot during walking or working in the yard, oh yucky.
