Default Squigle toothpaste

Has anyone here used this toothpaste? I am fed up with canker sores and I'm desperate for relief. After doing some searching I read that many canker sores are caused by sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). I have always liked Close-Up, but I looked on the label and sure enough it contains SLS. Squigle is supposed to be SLS free. It sure is expensive though, 7.99 for a 4oz tube. I ordered some anyways, somethin's gotta help.

Staying hydrated and away from acidic foods will help.
Change what you eat and drink.
Do you smoke? That can cause them too.

Try swishing with all natural sea salt & water after meals and whatever toothpaste you use.
It will heal it.

No, I don't smoke. I think it's genetic with me because my Mom gets them also. Any kind of mouth injury triggers mine too, if I so much as bump my mouth I will have a sore in a few days. I just figured the SLS free toothpaste would help since SLS has been linked to canker sores, apparently it thins a natural barrier in the mouth.

Well that stuff is not good for you at all or the enviro so it cant hurt to try it. It will be less bubbly.
I used sensodine when I had sore gums from braces. Tastes like crap but it works well. They also make a liquid oral bandage that numbs. Its by the braces stuff at the drugstore.

My son's dentist recommended Squiggle for him as well, but his canker sore problem cleared up on its own. The SLS is nasty stuff.

I got the Squigle yesterday, and you're right, it's less bubbly. It doesn't have the burning/tingling feeling that regular toothpaste does, so I'm thinking it will be better for the soft tissues in my mouth. It also contains xylitol, which I have read good things about.

I love squigle! I have used it for 8 months, at which point I ran out of the product and had to use my old toothpaste brand. I definitely noticed a difference--the sensitivity is back, and the inside of my mouth is rougher. I never had canker sores, so I can't tell you if it helps for that. You do not need to use much product, and try using a $20 Oral-B electric toothbrush (the battery ones aren't worth it), and you will be able to use even less product each time you brush. A 4 oz. tube lasted me 8 months, and I figure my teeth are worth about $1 per month. I can purchase the product at a local pharmacy, so maybe you could ask your local pharmacy to carry it. I actually prefer the 'taste' of squigle over popular brand toothpastes now---prob. because I love how clean and healthy it makes my mouth feel!
