Hi....

Fatty liver, also known as fatty liver disease (FLD), steatorrhoeic hepatosis, or steatosis hepatitis, is a reversible condition where large vacuoles of triglyceride fat accumulate in liver cells via the process of steatosis. Despite having multiple causes, fatty liver can be considered a single disease that occurs worldwide in those with excessive alcohol intake and those who are obese (with or without effects of insulin resistance). The condition is also associated with other diseases that influence fat metabolism[1]. Morphologically it is difficult to distinguish alcoholic FLD from non alcoholic FLD and both show micro-vesicular and macrovesicular fatty changes at different stages.

Im guessing it could be my diet, i eat fast food atleast 3 to 4 times a week, i also im addicted to potato chips, i do drink, im more of a social drinker, i drink atleast once a month, but at partys and especially new years, i binge, everything i read, got me scared to be honest. I am goint to change my diet and lifestyle, i plan to be here for my kiddos, the only reason i found out about my "fatty liver" was because i had x rays because i developed kidney stones.

i have been checked for diabetes and i am good, but definately my diet is not good, my eating habits i admit are pretty juvenile, i guess im a "streaky" person, i work out for like 3 months, then stop for like 6, then work out for 2, then stop for 4, so i guess thats the reason im not overweight, as soon as i notice im packing the pounds, i start watching what i eat and start working out.Through all this im guessing my body is confused.

Hey Levow....did you ever see the movie out in 2004 called ''Super Size Me'' a documentary where the guy (Morgan Spurlock) who experimented on eating nothing but McDonalds everyday for 30 days straight.

He started out at 6 foot 2 and 185 lbs and they tested his liver enzymes before which were normal. So after 30 days he gained 24 LBS became fat in the stomach and showed signs of Fatty Liver as his physician tested him. He had other bad health sign after just 30 days of eating fast food. He said he lost energy, his sex drive crashed and had developed heart palpitations by week 3 of eating that way.

It wrecked him so bad it took him 14 months of Vegan eating to get him back to normal.

Interesting read.
