I was diagnosed with Mienier's disease today and the doctor prescribed a diuretic called Dyazide. Has anyone ever taken this? Does any else have Mienier's? I have had two spells from it already. But I am concerned about taking a diuretic.
I've taken dyazide. It helps with water weight. The downside of dyazide is it will make you really sensitive to the sun, and you can start to burn in direct sun within 15-20 minutes.
And it will make you dizzy and sleepy a few times a day. But it does help with fluid retention.
Isn't Miennier's disease caused by not having balance in your ears, and you would feel dizzy? My mom had it 10 years ago,it just happened quickly, she felt dizzy had to be in bed. went to see doctors, prescribed pills, can't remember what it was,but a friend who know pressure point, really helped my mom.She hasn't had this symptom anymore.
Maybe you should find a person that knows pressure point. Hope you get better soon.
That's weird, that a doctor would prescribe that medication for menieres disease.
I would definitely do like the poster above and go a natural route. There is a natural cure for everything out there. And to the poster that told me they avoid sunlight, sunlight is a good healing source. Doctors that tell everyone to avoid the sun, they are doing you a great disservice. Sun is not the enemy.
Carolina, you can get used to a low salt diet. there are spices, etc. out there that will make your food taste good.
Yes someone on here told me about True Lemon which is wonderful. It's just very hard because salt is in EVERYTHING, even bread, things I never even thought of. PinkString, I do avoid sun as much as possible, I don't want wrinkles and brown spots
You can't avoid salt entirely, but by not putting on extra salt, or stuffing down salty thing like chips and dip and bacon, you can eliminate a lot. Low salt isn't NO salt by a long shot.

As long as you don't avoid the sun entirely. A little sun every day will not cause wrinkles and brown spots. Want wrinkles? Go to a tanning salon religiously, that will definitely do alot of damage over the long run. Sun is natural, tanning booths are not.
