my wife had those before, and she went to the doctor for many tests. I made her join a gym and start exercising to jump start her health. It worked and the cysts shrank and there was no pain

well i finally got my period last week was it ever painful and the period started off brown then became redish brown and very very heavy then turned red the brightest red i have ever saw with clots, this week i still have the period haven't took any tynole this week HURRAY! but today i'm noticing like a pain in the ovary again it first felt like pins and needles now it is more of an ache but dull and the period looks like it is slowing down....my specialist told me on monday of this week that he wasn't doing his job right with me and wanted me to get an 2nd appinion, i feel confused now, but my family dr did speak with him last week maybe he said something to him not sure i will be talking to my family dr tomorrow cause now i have to get a 2 nd appinion and start all over again i can't be bothered but i know i have to. the specialist said he doesn't think it's endometirosis, but he wants me to stay on the birth control pill and of course lose the weight he said that the extra estrogen that i have in my body is eating off the fatty tissues and forming the cysts so that's why he wants me to lose the weight...thanks for all the responses ladies it's nice to know that your not alone!

I have PCOS and for the past month or five weeks, i have had constant, thick discharge varying from white to rust-colored to being straight blood (even though i'm on the pill and am nowhere near my period). it's usually rust-colored though, and very thick. i have had sporadic pains in my pelvic/ovarian area, which seem to be getting worse. i don't know what to do. i'm about to call my gyno, but it's a friday, and i can't leave work today and i don't know what i'm going to do. BTW, ovarian, cervical, colon and breast cancer all run in my family. has anyone ever had anything like this before, particularly with PCOS? pls, pls advise if you have.

This may be odd, but I'm having similar pain as well. I have an iud in, almost 3 yrs now. Have always had a period...even if it was just for a day. Lmp was 6/13/11, took home preg. Test. Neg both times something didn't feel right. Went to my primary Dr. July 20? They did bloodwork, neg for preg. Sent for pelvic ultrasound. There they discovereda small follicular cyst, about 2cm, but I'm still having the intense pain like others said in waves, and now seems since Sunday has started in the left kidney it feels like. Even after a strong muscle relaxer, was still in quite some pain. Any suggestions on what could possibily be going on would be appreciated. Don't see gyno til Fri.

I've been having this same sort of pain that the OP described. To the T! My doctor sent me to several different specialists, I had xrays and ultrasounds done, went to the OB/GYN, got poked and prodded, stuck and photograpghed and filmed. They didn't find anything. I still have the pain. Comes and goes. Sometimes sharp, sometimes mild. In my right pelvic area, like maybe two inches down from my belly button and two or three inches over. Sex is not painful during, though sometimes orgasms can trigger it. Sudden movement can trigger it, like if I've been sitting for awhile and I stand up too fast - whammo. Sometimes if I cough or sneeze - whammo there it is again. But not everytime. It's so frustrating. It's like just when I forget I have the pain, I'll sneeze or stand up or something and it hits me. Ouch.

My doctor can't explain it. None of the specialists could explain it. My gynecologist can't explain it. Cysts were ruled out. Hernia was ruled out. They practically drained me of blood and urine testing for everything known to man. All they found was that my vit. D was low (I live in the PNW). My doctor said it could be psychological. He asked if I had ever been sexually abused. Was anyone else told or asked that?
