It seems there is a lot of good info and input on this forum,my question is my wife will be having prolapse surgery shortly and yesterday our family doctor made appointment to have wife's carotid artery's checked on his machine. We were there for 6 month check up.He will send a report from his office to surgeon.I cannot see connection, feel like adding more money to his office.Any opinions?

I'm not clear on what is prolapsed that's being repaired, but EVERY surgical candidate needs to be medically cleared, so if your family physician listened to her carotid arteries and heard a bruit (like a murmur), then there could be a risk of a stroke at some point and that needs to be better defined. That's called good clinical practice.
