Default Not sure if this is the right place for this or not...

Cancer Charity

My friend Yadira was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor, large B cell lymphoma, which is attached to her heart, about six weeks ago. At the time, she was working and going to school to obtain her Master’s degree. Since her diagnosis, she has undergone one chemotherapy treatment and faces five more. So far she has lost about ten pounds and has shaved the dead hair from her head and now wears a wig. Despite the horrors of chemotherapy, her weakened physical state, and the financial burden she faces, she has remained amazingly optimistic about it all.

Yadira will be left with thousands and thousands in medical and hospital bills when this is all over. While she is able to work some now, there soon will be a time where she won’t be able to do so. I don’t think anybody should have to worry about money when faced with such a daunting scenario, and that is why I have set up this charity. All money will go directly to help pay her medical bills and /or living expenses during this time. If there is a surplus when she is done with this, it will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

While you may never meet Yadira, I’m asking you to think about your Mom, your sister, your aunt, or your daughter for a second. Your donation, no matter how small, will go to help another human being in a time of need. Nobody should have to think about going bankrupt while they battle cancer or any other life threatening disease.

Any amount will help: 5, 10, 20, 50 dollars. A one time donation or a monthly deposit would be greatly appreciated and go to help a young woman face her battle with cancer. Donations can be made through our blog at the top.

Thank you for your consideration.

Regards,

Jason

Can't offer anything to help her except to say she is not alone.
Someone from another forum I go to was hit with cancer, she's not married; has been fired from her main job and has had a few surgeries. She's starting chemo again IIRC, and is supposed to vacate her apartment; don't think she's found a place to live yet. Not sure if she even had a down payment for another apartment. She has some how managed to work a part time low paying job.

If anyone has suggestions on where these ladies can go for help, please pass on links.

Did she get fired after the health problems? Did she have h.b. through the company? If so I would talk to a lawyer.

Depending on the state of residence, there may be financial help available. Some states have programs for catastrophic health issues, and the ones who would know for sure would be the state's social services department.
