When I was without insurance, I used Assurant Health. The first time was in between jobs, just myself, and it was very inexpensive. You can do everything online and pay by credit card. You can choose your deductable amounts, and the higher you choose, the cheaper your policy is. This is primarily an emergency type plan, so that if you get in an accident or have an emergency, you are covered. Here is their website Health Insurance Plans from Assurant Health.
If you have any questions about how it works, feel free to send me a pm and I will try to help you. I have about 9 years experience dealing with insurance policies.
