Hernia question (pain, doctor, fingers, area)

In the groin area, about 2-3 inches below the belt line and to the left. When I press in and move my fingers upward, I can feel a bump, almost like a large calcium deposit. About the size of the and m&m, maybe a little bigger.
There is some pain when I press on it. For those of you that have had a hernia, is this what a minor hernia might feel like? I hope to heck it's not.

I have doctors apt. on Monday.
