What should i expect? How can i try to control my throat from not choking when they stick a pipe down my throat? I hope they don't put me to sleep cuz i really want to know what is going on.
You are mildly sederated. You won't feel a thing. You might have a sore throat and discomfort in your esophagus once you are awake and the local anesthesia goes away. Also, the Dr. will tell you that in rare cases, a tooth might be chip because of the tube going down. Nothing to be scare of.
You are sedated...when you wake up you will not remember a thing and will fee completely fine. I've had one...it's a breeze. My 12 yr old daughter had one. No sore throat...no Discomfort. And it takes only a few minutes. Wake up...get your wits about you....go home with a designated driver.
No wierdness here...both my 12 yr old daughter, 21 yr old daughter, myself and my husband all had it done at various times. We all stopped at our favorite diner on the way home for breakfast. Completely fine.
