Default Adverse reaction to gardasil - WHAT NOW?

This is not intended to be a debate on the on the vaccine itself! I have a very sick girl on my hands and don't know where to turn. We have been to countless doctors both mainstream and a naturopath. We put my daughter on several immune building vitamins / meds, as well as a detoxification supplement and at first she got a little better, but she is now regressing again. She was 16 when she got the shot May 2008, just two weeks after competing in a state level track meet. She was running up to ten miles a day before the vaccine, and within days of getting it, literally couldn't walk across the room! A year ago she had colleges looking at her and was setting school and state records for her speed, and a year later, the year that was to be her senior year, she has become so weak she is unable to attend school at all and has had to officially withdraw. She also has some of the other symptoms:
dizziness
voice changes
hair loss
rash
swelling
leg tremors
hand weakness
headaches
stomach pains ( not a stomach ache )
diarrhea
she has had inflamation and swelling around her heart
loss of appetite
general weakness
fatigue
insomnia

etc etc etc

Have any of you had experience with this? Any of you have ANY suggestions? We have changed her diet, cut out 99% of refined sugar and she eats mostly whole foods. She does have the occassional mac n cheese, but rarely. I truly don't know where to turn, one of the doctors we have is incredible, but he is also out of ideas and told us Thursday that she may have to face the fact that she may never be able to run again. I can not accept that! We HAVE to figure this out! PLEASE HELP!!!

What type of specialist is she seeing, and what type of procedures and diagnostics have been done so far? You may have to see a different type of doctor now.

She has been to countless doctors, we currently see her pediatrician, a rheumatologist, a cardiologist, an allergist / immunologist and a naturopath. We are waiting on an appointment to an infectious disease doctor. They all work really well together, but they just don't know WHAT to do. And because of the reaction, they are afraid to add too many more meds into the mix. She has had almost every test you can think of and most come back normal. She has some auto immune things going on, which most of these girls do, but noone knows how to handle it. i would take her ANYWHERE and try almost anything. I just don't know what else there is to try and was hoping someone out there has had success in being treated after a reaction to gardasil.

I'm so sorry! I hope she gets to feeling better soon. I would suggest changing her diet. Refined foods, sugar and glutten are bad, try removing them from her diet.

Has she been checked for the cancer yet, or Guillain-Barre, AIDS?
Info on Guillain-Barre:

I dont want to upset you out but here is some links:
Vaccine Safety Group Releases GARDASIL Reaction Report

Gardasil Safety: Questions and Answers

I just hope this thread stays RESPECTFUL as this can be a serious issue.

Hopefully she will be well and you will find the solutions. I really think your next step at this point would be a lawyer along with different specialist doctors (immunologist) at one of the major hospitals in the US.

I was afraid when I started this thread that it would turn into another argument on the benfits / risks of this vaccine.I'm glad that so far it hasn't. I am not positive if she has been checked for GB or not.She has been checked for the other things ( aids, etc). Web have actually been contacted by a couple lawyers and honestly, no amount of money can replace all that hse has lost or pay for all that she has suffered. The only thing I can think of is that they may be able to provide us with better access to doctors. Our med bills are insane!! We are seeing an immunologist and are waiting to get into an infectious disease doc. I appreciate your reply and the links you sent, I hadn't seen these and I'm constantly researching trying to find something that will help her. Our immunologist actually wants me to bring things like this to him so he can try and figure out something.

And that's why I'm posting on here again, trying to see if anyone can help come jup with something -ANYTHING- we haven't thought of! So thank you!

See if her doctor can write a referral then to the Mayo Clinic. Is insurance not covering these tests, and if not why not?

What meds is she on? Often hairloss and voice changes are side effects of meds...Just a thought....

Some ( a lot of costs) are not covered because they "are out of network" or whatever. we may get reimbursed for some but who knows when. I am also not limiting her to regular doctors and will take her to a chiropractor, ND or whoever I think will help or get referred to.

The voice change started before she was on any meds, but I'll double check and see if hairloss is a side effect of some of the other stuff she's on.

Thanks.

wasn;t there someone on your original post that had good luck with a natural doctor?

Pretty sure I left a lot of links on that post as well.

Please make sure you file a report on the web site linked.

I'm going to bump the other post up for you so you can find it easier
