I have had several urinary tract infections in the past--I don't know if there is a link there?
My mom had this problem...her doctor told her she wasn't emptying her bladder fully, so a bit was left behind and then she would leak. Her doctor recommended that when she felt she was done, to lean back a bit and then forward a bit and see if anything more happens. I thought it sounded odd, so I tried it, and actually there was a bit more there.
If you have a very mild bladder infection often you will have the leaky problem and for me, it seems like during the winter I have more of an issue with this. Once spring and summer roll around and I get more exercise I don't have the problem.
Walking is a great exercise to help and you might try taking a cranberry supplement.
do you drink alot of sodas (Coke, Pepsi, etc.)? I know when I do, they go right thru me and I have to urinate very frequently. When I stop drinking the sodas, it really helps.
Do you run as exercise? That can contribute! Kegels are a help....so keep doing them. If it's really bad, there is surgery that WILL fix this issue! There's no real reason you must put up with it!
