Colorado has some of the best tap water in the nation, you want flammable go to lake Erie and light a match, or god forbid open a tap in Indiana.

Did the Environmental Protection people there shut down the water plant? Actually that situation has occurred a few times elsewhere, leaking fuel tanks discharge into the aquifer.

My water is so bad that I used a Britta filter for 2 months with the filter installed incorrectly, and couldn't even taste the difference.

I live in Blair,NE and the water company got in trouble for not monitoring the water quality according to state guidelines from Jun 2008-Jan 2009. The excuse given was that they didn't know they changed. They are also having issues providing clean drinking water to one area of the city. When I lived in Omaha, granted it is bigger, we never had issues.

Tap water as a general rule is not good tasting or good for you. Its chemichally treated and passes through lots of piping so has excess metal, pvc..etc..

Unfortunately bottled water isn't any better. Most major bands of bottled water have been tested and results did not come back good. They were loaded with every bit as many contaminents as tap water including heavy metals and pharmacueticals. 99% of bottled water is in plastic bottles and since all plastic leaches you are drinking plastic too. I won't even get into the environmental diseaster plastic is too.

The only solution is buying your own home filter which is installed in the pipes. Very expensive but water is your most important resource so its worth it.
