I heard somewhere that drinking alcoholic beverages with or right after having coffee is bad for you and can result in some kind of ill effect. I don't know if this is true. I ask because I am a heavy coffee drinker and sometimes I like to have a beer once in a while. Today is a day where I want to have my beer but I just drank coffee.

First time I heard about this, considering I'm pretty healthy besides being a bit pear shaped and I like my coffees Irished (more then a good shot of whiskey) and I haven't had a problem. If it was cold medicine or pain killers and booze, then it can be a lethal combo (I've seen what even a mistake combo can do to another person).

As long as you don't trip and fall and break the alcohol glass container and cut yourself along with burning yourself with hot coffee.

Looks like I should've been dead years ago. But then again I don't drink in the super high quantities that the article talks about.

I usually drink about 10 cups of instant coffee a day, many days and particularly on the weekends i may also go through a 6pac of beer after supper, At 65 years of age i'm not seeing any negative effects other than weight gain over the years.

Well if you drink to many beers with or without the coffee it isn't good for you!! otherwise, I don't know where you heard this or why someone would say something like that, but I am sure drinking coffee and beer even together never made anyone sick.
