You really don't want to get better ! (doctor, symptoms, complaints)

After being on City Data on and off for about three years I have surmised that most people on here that say they need help or have questions about thier illnesses or symptoms basically just want to commiserate with others with the same problems.

Very few (if any) are interested in getting better.

If you truly want to get better. City-Data. com is the WORST place to look for help.

No I don't, I only correct people mistakes in believing without actual knowledge or evidence.
A lot of natural product do actually work, and others don't (or no evidence have shown that work)

Maybe, just because they don't like your advise doesn't mean they are not looking for information.

A lot of times they just want to know there is someone else having the same experience to validate their problem and is not just in their head or that they are crazy.

I know one forum I go to, I found in searching what was causing a whole list of life altering problems I was having.. There, I found a bunch of people who were having the exact same problems and they too, were having a problem getting the doctor to listen to their complaints and I discovered some other problems I had failed to recognized as problems to worry about yet. That forum saved my life. The problem was a DRUG I was taking that causes a lot of side effects for a lot of people that doctors don't want to recognize because it is so popular and supposedly does so much good. That forum was the only place I could find help or even connect what was wrong with me to a pill I was taking. It pointed me in so many directions to learn what I could do to help myself get better because the doctors were of no help at all!

Just hearing someone else's experience helps many and to share with each other what has happened to them means a LOT! I learned a lot from that experience, sad to say, I now wonder what damage has been done to my body that I will pay for the rest of my life by taking that drug.. That is unknown by any of us on that other foum or the doctors that are recognizing and researching the real side effects of that drug..

No but because of my education and work I know a little about the subject. Also since I am an attending in a teaching hospital I have to read a lot of reports. Also a lot of this health mistake are common knowledge.
