Surgical masks go on tomorrow.

Keep the freakin thread local or the moderator will move it. Myself included.

I hope this proves to everyone the difference between "suspected" and "confirmed."

I guess I'm now held reponsible for the news reports too? Even if the few cases tested are negative, you know its here and will surface soon. Remember this bugger has a 6-7 day incubation period. That is 4-6 days longer then most flu viruses.

Yes, you are responsible for the sources you use to make a point. You said "it's local now" before allowing the medical professionals to declare whether the cases were confirmed as swine flu or not.

You could have waited before it was confirmed or not, but that wouldn't be sensational enough for you.

And no offense, this is the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary board. Charlotte is not local, as pertaining to this forum.

This link is a re-print of a News & Observer story from Monday. As both WRAL and the N&O reported today (Tuesday) the "suspected" cases of swine flu were not in fact swine flu. 15 suspect cases of swine flu test negative in NC - NC Wire: Local & State - News & Observer (http://www.newsobserver.com/1565/story/1505105.html - broken link)
