I don't think it is illegal but I would not recommend it if he just had an ear operation. Try posting in the Health forum, maybe they would know better? I just took our 6 month old on a flight against my in-laws wishes, but he was fine. Also, do you have a doctor you can ask?

Maybe not illlegal but personally I wouldn't suggest it without speaking to the surgeon who operated her ear first.

What type of Operation?? If it is anything involving the inner ear or eardrum you definitely would NOT want to take the baby on a plane!! The pressure changes on an airplane can be very uncomfortable for a perfectly healthy baby. In a baby that has had some type of inner ear surgery there could be severe damage.

PLEASE contact the Doctor who did the surgery or your Pediatrician.

I agree that it is not illegal, but probably not a great idea.

Please do NOT fly with a child who has had recent surgery without your doctor's full consent. It is just asking for trouble. I cannot imagine a more painful way for a baby to travel!!! And don't forget, once airborne, you will have no alternative but to sit and wait til landing. The poor child could be in agony due to pressure!

Don't ask a forum this question, ask a qualified medic.

Illegal, probably not. Torturous for the baby, probably yes.
