A study from the University of Cinncinnati found that exposure to BPA can cause abnormal activity in the heart. I rarely drink anything from plastic anymore as i've known about this crap for years as it's detected in 95 % of our bloodstream in trace amounts.

Other countries have banned the use of BPA...it also causes cross-sex fish and birth defects in humans...very dangerous substance that has no place in our food supply...it's been banned from baby bottles--finally! Using it to line cans is worrisome because it can leech into the food or fluid--and into us...

Sorry, I was incorrect on my statement about BPA being banned from baby bottles--the ban is being considered...but is still in use.

Look for #7 on the bottom of bottles which indicates it's a BPA plastic and avoid its use...

We can support the proposed ban of dangerous BPA by making our wishes known to our Reps and Senators...

I didn't know that #7 meant that it was BPA plastic; that's good to know. I wish there were some way of telling if it was used on the inside of a can before buying.

The invention of plastic was a collosal disaster for health and the environment. There is no such thing as "safe" plastic either. Eliminate as much plastic from your life as possible and same for canned foods.

-Cloth bags for the supermarket

-Glass bottles for water

-Glassware or pyrex for cooking/storage of food
