I'm usually a "when in doubt throw it out" girl, but if it was kept in a relatively cool house and not in the blistering sun, it's probably fine. It's a dairy product, so I'd think that it would smell sour if it were bad. How does it smell?
If yo'ure worried about it, though, then toss it, buy a new one, and be more careful next time.

I'd say up to 12 hours or so depending on how hot it is, should be fine. I have left cream cheese out over night and refrigerated it and ate it and I was fine...

It's probably (key word 'probably') fine, but I did what I do with most questions I don't know the answer to ~~ I googled it and the expert advice was AFTER TWO HOURS OUT OF FRIDGE, YOU SHOULD PITCH IT OUT!

I agree. I've sometimes made mistakes like that - tasted the product - never got sick.
