MOD NOTE: If you wish to debate the existence or non-existence of systemic candida albicans, please do so via DM or create a new thread for that purpose.

If you post in THIS thread, only address the OP and HER situation not each other.

Thank-you. - LadyRobyn

It could be a reinfection, or maybe you never really cured the infection and it keeps coming back.
Also maybe is in some place/thing that you keep having contact (Office chair, gym, etc).
Yeast infections are tricky.

Try some oil of oregano. That stuff kills yeast!

I've done a lot of medical research in a number of yeast infections, mostly in more deadly bloodstream infections. I know anecdotally from seeing my patients that diabetics tend to have a greater incidence of these infections, as well as those receiving long-term empiric antibiotics. Make sure you modify your diet (less sugar and starch). Probiotics are good, especially if you are on antibiotics. Basically when you have a low colonization rate of bacteria, that is when opportunistic yeast will begin taking over.

Topical antifungal treatments are fine but you really should get to the root of why you are getting the recurrence. We're working on genetic factors of why certain segments of the population tend to develop more infections, hopefully we'll better understand some of these mysteries in the not too distant future.

I have, many times in my life, at the very beginning signs of a vaginal yeast infection, used 2-3 capsules of friendly bacteria as a vaginal suppository and every time have prevented a yeast infection.
I have also used it in the past when i feel that little awful feeling indicating the onset of a bladder infection and use the friendly bacteria (pro-biotic) capsules in the same way and with success.
For those who try this, do it at night or if you do it in the day, use a small tampon to prevent .... well, you know.
I prefer to do this at night and without a tampon and it usually takes a few days.
It works.
Be careful with UTI's (urinary tract infections) as they can become very serious.
I have dealt with them as described in conjunction with other natural approaches but you gotta really know your own body to objectively access whether it's working.

Used to swear by tea tree oil also, but like oil of oregano even better. Not so drying on the skin, plus you can take it internally .. just a couple of drops a day under the tongue is great for cold and flu .. and fungal prevention.

Works like a hot damn!

After being in the tropics, I return with really itchy skin .. dry and itchy from the sun and wind. The only relief I've found is from rubbing with oil of oregano, .. which made me wonder, that maybe I actually had some kind of fungal infection going on from the sun? The reason I even thought it could be fungal infection of some sort, is from how much better I was after using oil of oregano, which is a serious fungal fighter.

If you're interested in trying it out, visit a health food store. The active ingredient is carvacol, so look to purchase a brand that has the highest .. around 97%.

Thanks for the tip on that. Its always great to have another option to throw into the kill method..lol

I wanted to add I used olive oil over the Tea Tree in the winter when I noticed it getting dry. The overly dry skin can make it worse too. Just because its a dead skin build up.
