You can make all the SOD you would ever need by having enough zinc or manganese in your system.
Cadmium from coffee, refined sugar, and cigarette paper will displace zinc very fast, so a zinc supplement is highly recommended for these consumers.
Personally, I don't think you can get SOD to the right place and at the right time by ingesting it.
