My Doc cause I asked him told me His Opinion that Im dealing with REmitting/Relaspsing MS. Been a weird Year and a half or so. Had a Knumb tingling left foot/a Leg/foot that didnt wanna work few other small problems but most have disapeared. Still have faint weird sensation in both feet/ Vertigo If close my eyes and try stand still. The Evoke Potentials was done and found to be normal but the two MRI'S August/08 and Dec 08 showed progression and recession and the nuerologist chose to not put me on meds. GOOD bad? But I get a Knumbness right under my left rib cage seems to be after I eat tho and or sitting driving. Its weird dont really have it right now but after work seems to be there. It really don't affect me just worries me. Cause MS progerssion is the worst thing you hear and really hard to tell if its getting worse I know balance and knumbness is getting better. Im going to see him him in a few weeks just thought I would ask on here. Read somewhere about the "MS hug" but that was a pain thing I believe no pain here just a knumb feeling just under my rib cage and belly . D

I would ask for a 2nd opinion. There are good meds available now to deal with the symptoms of MS. I have a neighbor who denied for 15 yrs that she had MS, just a little tingle here or there, maybe clumsy, etc. Then she woke up blind one morning b/c it had affected her optic nerve. After testing she was diagnosed (MRI) and put on something new. She's been pretty much alright since then.

I had numbness on my torso right when I was first diagnosed. I've been on Betaseron for 4 years though, and my case has been relatively mild. Every once in awhile though, some new part of the body will suddenly go numb and I just think, "Huh. THAT'S new."

Be strong. Hang in there. MS sucks.

Guess MS can show Its ugly face In all kinds of ways. I was curious cause seems to get worse after I eat so was wondering if its a syptom of somethin else. Have Dieabetes on my back door also, blood sugar is to be watched along with diet cause of my weight and family history and of course blood tests that have show me to be borderline. Mornings its always between 6-7. D

What system do you use to test? That would be a reading on a dead person in every test system I've ever seen. Or missing some zeros? At 60-70 reading, I'd feel weird, shaky, dizzy, headachey, close to a collapse. At 600-700, I'd be close to comatose. Normal is 90-110.

Your mother was most likely receiving steroids (decadron) a pre-medication prior to chemo...this would raise her blood sugar significantly.
