Default Chucky Cheese and germs

I have not been back to Chucky Cheese for a couple of years. When I was there I watched all the small children with runnny noses going from game to game and climbing on the toys etc. I have no idea how frequently the employee disinfect the equipment. (if ever) Think about how much illness is spread in these types of places. Something to think about with the flu season underway.

I agree with Jude1948. Most of these places have High School students working at them for minimum wage and do you think they are concerned about the spreading of germs. No. While they are there, they are most likely thinking about what time their shift ends and who they are hanging out afterwards and how much their next check will be. But I'm sure these places have standards and policies to follow but do they really follow them? I guess it depends on the person who manages the facility. I remember going to the Chuckie Cheese's when I was little and we sure didn't use sanitizer when I was done touching all the games, but I survived and I'm healthy and rarely get sick. I take my daughter occassionally and I have her sanitize or wash her hands before she eats. Just think of all those kids who don't do that and the germs going into their mouths. It's just kind of funny how germs were not really an issue back when I was growing up to what it is these days. I've become a frequent sanitizer after I touch anything. Maybe I'm just paranoid, I don't know. Think of all the things the public touches, from gas pumps, to handles on doors to public places, those constant non hand washers who enter a public restroom and leave not washing their hands and touching the door handle or door when they leave. Shopping carts, people who stock groceries at the store or the thousands of kids who touch the toys before you buy one for your kid. It's a neverending list in my book. It's just best to do what you can to prevent germs from spreading to you or your kids, but you can't ward off germs permanently. If you get sick you get sick but it's best to do whatever you can to take preventative measures. I've become a germ freak like Howie Mandel, who refuses to touch or shake hands with any contestant on his Millionair game show. I hate touching doors and I use a paper towel from a public restroom and if I can't find anything to prevent touching what others have touched, I immediately use sanitizer. Just stay healthy as much as possible. We can't rely on other places to do it for us.

I agree with all you said and would also like to point out that we have many more diseases coming into our country these days. It is not just a matter of a cold or flu, but more serious stuff.
