That's the nerve that runs from your lower back, down to the back of you leg, to the sole of you foot.
I did 2 separate times after a couple of very long runs. And it hurts too. The last time was down right leg.
I have been an avid runner/jogger for years too. So, it's not like I just started or anything. I never had it before until my adult years (only 2 times. The last time was last year).
I'm just curious, but is it because I ran too hard or is it just overuse (or too much running)??
I also have sciatic nerve issues down my left leg. i am not a runner, but I am on my feet alot. My ortho said I could have upset it rolling over in the bed in my sleep. It flares up frequently and I start doing the exercises until it settles down.
A sciatic nerve can happen anywhere along the spine. It is really a slipped disc that irritates the nerve that exits along the disc. Our spine is much like a wiring harness in a auto.
I have a disc that causes numbness in my legs where my pants pockets lie.
Doesn't the sciatic nerve run down the left leg only?
