I'm 50 and have never experienced anything like this. My Dr. put me on Cymbalta in mid-October and that's when they started. I have since stopped taking the Cymbalta but the cold sweats are not going away.
I sweat constantly. Constantly. I don't have any other symptoms aside from walking around like a drenched rag pretty much around the clock. This is making me really grouchy and driving me crazy. I sleep under a ceiling fan with a blanket and this seems to work a bit, but I don't know. My Dr. gave me an Rx for a low dose HRT pill which I haven't filled. I know there are risks with HRT. Still, I just can't see walking around like this for YEARS!
Is constant perspiration a symptom of anything else?
Have a FSH test done to see where your hormone levels are to see if you're in peri- or full-fledged menopause...surprised your doctor didn't order one...you're at the common age for menopause, the test will reveal all...
