Ok, so here's the deal. My mom can't post so she's asking me to do it. She's had this bad rash on and off for a year now. She went to a dermatologist and a regular doctor and have had nothing but bad reactions from the meds. They told her it was different things. One medicine she even got double vision. I got ringworm from work, so when my mom came here for Thanksgiving, she was surprised and noticed her rashes looked like my 1 rash. I saw hers and realized it is indeed ringworm. Kind of dumb how none of the doctors noticed this. But anyway...she has to go outside for work sometimes, and since it's hot and sunny, it gets worse (because it's a fungus and lives well in heat/sun). She got a ringworm cream and it's slowly getting better, but she said it's back once she's outside. She can't really avoid it.

So here's my question: Since it's warm and sunny in south Florida and it keeps bringing it back, have any of you ever had it in Florida??? And how do you make it go away? Don't just tell her to wear long sleeves, because she's done that, lol.

You didn't mention this, so I'll bring it up to clarify: are there any pets in her household?

We don't think it came from the cats. No signs of it.

Ringworm actually thrives in damp dark places. Sun light actually helps in getting rid of ringworm.

You won't necessarily know if your cats have ringworm especially if they are long haired cats. Persians seem to be more susceptible to ringworm

Wash your pets in neem shampoo and use neem bar soap.

Before doing anything, a doctor needs to make a diagnosis. With a skin scraping.

The neem wont hurt you without that. Its like tea tree but safe for use on cats. You can not use anything tea tree on cats. (its toxic to them)

Her rashes look exactly like our ringworm.

She said it gets brighter red and itches more in the sun, so it seems hot sun does make it worse.

I think I used tea tree oil on Ringworm and it went away in a few days. It was just a small rash though. Search under natural cures and Ringworm to confirm (or post again and I will check the book where I got the information).
