I suddenly developed arthritis in both of my hands. It's been going on for about a week now. I haven't done anything different. My hands are warm to the touch and my fingers are very sore and it even goes to my wrists sometimes. I'm only 38 and I hope this isn't permanent b/c it hurts to do anything. Has anyone else ever has this happen?

This is not normal at all. Stongly suggest that you see your doctor ASAP since this can be a symptom of some other health concern.

See your doctor. Don't assume it's arthritis, though it very well may be, make sure there are not other problems going on.
I am 26 and in the past few years have been developing arthritis (doctor diagnosed). I have it in my hips and occasionally in my hands. It stinks, but I've learned to deal with it. I take OTC meds when it gets too bad. I find that for me there's a fine line to walk- being too active causes pain, not being active enough causes bad pain & stiffness. The doc said that although it's not as common, arthritis can strike at any age
Good luck & let us know what you find out.

I'll be going to the doctor after the first of the year. I'll let you know what I find out.

You don't "suddenly develop arthritis". If I were you, I wouldn't wait till after the 1st, get it checked out now!
