I drink water, workout and have excellent metabolism, DOES IT really matter if i do not necessarily watch what i eat. I dont eat like a pig, i dont drink sodas at all, but i still eat like a mcdees doublecheeseburger often and some small fries, in the morn, i eat a burrito. I have lost 2 belt sizes since i started working out, and my co workers have noticed the changes in my body. I feel so good and so energetic, that im just eating whatever cuz my good metabolism will "take care of it" I am trying to get muscle definition and look sexy for my wife, do you think what i eat is affecting me getting the physiche i desire?

I am the same way, however, what you eat still affects you inside. You can be thin and still develop high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar. This very thing happened to my husband. You would not have known by looking at him until you get the numbers. Junk food does catch up to you even though it may look like you're beating it with your metabolism. We totally revamped his diet and exercise program[I already ate pretty healthy] and so mine got even better and I am amazed how good I feel.I am a 53 year old woman who has had 3 kids and I can see stomach muscles, I am running faster times, doing 60 full push-ups at a time, and am beginning training for a marathon[fartherst run so far is 10 miles] WHAT you eat definately makes a difference!

Yes.

I'd advise a trip to the library to do at least a minimal amount of research on nutrition. Mod cut

If you like to eat at Micky D's etc. then try to take some antioxidants like Vit-C with Bioflavanoids and Vit-E as these will help keep the transfats and polyunsaturated fats in the fast food from causing inflammation inside the arteries from causing heart disease.

Next time your at Cielo Vista mall in El Paso where your at check out the GNC there .

Yes, I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but it still matters what you eat. Weight/muscle is not the most important indicator of health. Eventually McDs will catch up to you in the way you feel. The most important thing is a BALANCE. For example, if you do desperately want this double-cheeseburger, make sure to go home and have a huge bowl of deep-green leafy vegetables or a glass of Kamut. People don't need to feel guilty about eating some things that are unhealthy, if they counteract it with twice the amount of healthy foods. Every time you eat destructive, make sure you also eat productive in the same day.

A great book, which will probably change the way you view food and eat for the rest of your life, is called The Omnivores Dilemma. It has nothing to do with what you weigh--it's about what you are putting in your body (even when you think you're eating relatively healthy). It will disgust you, but really people should know where the food they eat comes from and what it eats and goes through before landing on your plate. We have no idea. We just pick it up off the shelf and figure nothing TOO bad has been put in it. Think again! It is not for vegetarians only--it's not against eating meat, but I can tell you I will never ever again eat meat which is not grass-fed. And although I was already a healthy eater, I changed a lot of things.

You'll probably never even want to set foot in a fast food place again.

A double cheeseburger is only 340 cals and fries I think are about 500. Its not really that much food if you workout and are over 150lbs. Burritos are all different. They can be 200-1000 cals. So your metabolism is not super hero. If that is all you eat in a day you are undereating even if you just sat around and did nothing. Metabolic differences (diseased states aside) are only about 30%. Overeating by 100 calories a day will end up to 10 lbs at the end of the year. Weight gain does not fly on your body overnight. It creeps. Its a sneaky little snooker like that.
