I know how it feels. Although I've been suffering from non-bleeding hemorrhoids since a year.I'm 22 years old and I live in Bombay,India. I experience itching and inflammation at times and also those crawling sensations occasionally. What is more frustrating is the fact that I can't really share the problem with anyone since its so damn embarrassing. Since the past one year, I've had no life whatsoever, I've been eating simple, home-cooked food, virtually no alcohol at all and well I don't smoke. What I really miss, is working out, I mean I used to be a gym rat, working out 6 days a week, Cardio and Weight training. I've stopped playing Football because it itches so damn much. To top that, the folks at home don't really understand what it's like to be going through this and are always miffed at me cause I don't go out to eat with them or for any other Family gathering as a matter of fact. I've been having as much Fiber as possible but it's been one year now. I'm starting to think it may never go away.

Many, many people will get 'roids in their lifetime. It just happens and they just go away on their own in many cases. Sometimes it may take a little while, but you just have to hang in there. 'Roids are one flaw evolution forgot to fix. The veins in the anus are just inherently weak.

You likely have hemorrhoids, but it is possible you have a fissure. That happens when you pass stools that are too large and it literally gives you a small tear. When you first start going to the bathroom it feels like someone stuck a knife down there. Because you are bleeding you really should see a doctor. You need to find out exactly what is wrong and get help to fix it and not get anemic from blood loss.

I had a couple of fissures for years, one external and one internal. They would cause no problems and suddenly flare up, hurt like h*** and bleed. Went to a colo-rectal specialist and he cauterized them in outpatient surgery......that put and end to about 20 years of problems in that area.

Specialist see this type of thing hundereds of times a month.

The Doctor looked at me for about 30 seconds and knew exactly what was going on and how to fix it.

I have had hemorrhoid since i was a boy, like 13 years, and i have had them to date , am 39... everytime i have been to the toilet seems to be the last day i am livinig. i have taken it day after day and sometimes it seems as if its getting even worse. i can not describe the pain, my wife who is so undestanding doesn't even know my situation, because i can not explain.all she know is i have an internal pain everytime i go poop. she thinks its cancer. i have really learned to live with this thing normally, i don't miss a day work because of it, i do everything normally including having sex. i don't think i will get rid of them but i believe everyone can live in harmony with such conditions. my case is so bad that i think no one can take it on a single day. but i live with it always. i eat normally and never take medication, i don;t believe in medication even if am having a headache. the last time i was really sick was almost twenty years ago... so i think i have learnt to beat this as our ancestor did in pre historic times...

You don't have to live with it. See a doctor, surgical relief is relatively easy.

whoa..............you are suffering greatly needlessly. I mean my hemorrhoids are BAD but I've never experienced what you're saying. I've even had to have a thrombosed hemorrhoid lanced and have been to the doctor a few times for swelling and pain. The last time I did so the doctor simply prescribed a really good suppository that really worked.
Do yourself a HUGE favor and take about a half hour to see a doctor.

Research squat toilets. In countries where people squat to poop (the natural position) they have a very low rate of hemorrhoids. I've been doing this for about two years now and I don't think I could ever go back to the sitting position. They make platforms to easily fit around a normal toilet.

It could help the hemorrhoids not to worsen by preventing straining.

I think I may have suggested it before, but Slippery Elm bark is really useful. Without getting too graphic, it helps "lubricate" the digestive tract.
