I'm 25. In the past I considered being a surrogate bc I am seriously GOOD at Pregnancy/Labor (15 minutes w/ 2 contractions and done- I'm very athletic)

I'm having a FULL hysterectomy next month (Jan 2015) - bc I have endometriosis --- I was thinking I could sell my eggs for science research , if an infertile couple can afford this procedure they can afford adoption of an already living kid who seeks a home.

I can support stem-cell research though and idk what else is possible for my eggs to be used as- so any ideas would be welcomed .... we need the $ and my eggs are going in the trash anyway-- I am not cool w/ fertility meds to make more eggs I am just willing to give w/e is already there -- by all means if I'm off base w/ my information LMK

idk who to contact that would take the eggs I already have for research before they are trashed - honestly id give them up for free but if I didn't need $ right now - I wouldn't have thought about it ANY IDEAS WHERE TO START???

I don't think you'd have any luck selling your ovaries and uterus...the eggs have to be mature in order to be harvested, and hysterectomies are very common so there are probably many ovaries and uterus which are removed and disposed of as medical waste. You can read about how donor eggs are harvested, it generally involves meds to make a bunch of eggs at once and the eggs have to be mature before they're harvested.

I think the OP is most likely too old. If I am buying someone's eggs, I would not want to risk a higher chance of birth defects, and would want someone younger.

Birth defects now that I understand completely, surgery could throw things outta whack for sure- the endometriosis causing problems ... age wouldn't matter as long as I've been healthy and taken care of my body and have eggs left ... too old is not a factor PISH POSH 25 too old ~hmph

I'm pretty sure the other poster was responding to the original post from 2009, with the woman in her late 30's, not responding to your post. Studies have shown that older eggs are more likely to have problems like birth defects.
