Does anyone have this painful, debilitating foot/ankle condition? I've been diagnosed with it in October. What is your treatment and is it working to help with the pain and mobility?
Thanks for any help.

Tell me what your symptoms are? I feel I may have it (MD appointment is coming up). It started as a vague tingling in the bottom of my great toe, but now the whole bottom of my foot intermittently tingles and/or burns, and it "feels" like I lost all the padding in my foot when I walk- ouch! I know the symptoms can mean other things, too (thus the MD appointment), but I was just wondering if your symptoms are similar. (I don't have any ankle pain).

Have you tried taking Vitamin B6?
I have arthritis in the hip and it irritates the Vagus Nerve.
The B6 helps a lot and most of the time I forget that I even have the problem.

I had that problem once a long time ago. It went away in a few days and I don't know what I did differently.

You might want to try seeing a Neuromuscular trained massage therapist that can provide deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to release the tension in the flexor muscles and to break up adhesions. They also could use MET's (Muscle Energy Techniques) to lengthen the same muscles which will release the tension in the tissues that are causing the impingement of the tibial nerve. If I was closer to your location, I would help with this... but Im not, so I cant

If you have flat feet, custom orthotics from your foot doctor or firm arch supports may help give some relief and of course elevation.

Here is a link that gives some great ideas and explanations...
Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome

Its not physically possible for hip arthritis to affect the Vagus nerve......the hip and vagus nerve aren't even in the same zip code.

Devil, you might be right, however there is a nerve that runs over the back of the hip there thru the glutius maximux and down the leg that does seem to be irritated at the same time that the hip gets sensitive. Maybe it has a different name. It gave me some bad days even before the hip problem developed. Felt like a hot wire running all the way down to the outside of the knee and down to the ankle.

Yes bluedevilz is right... you are talking about your Sciatic nerve not your Vagus nerve.
