I wash my hair 1x per week (and use a quality dry shampoo) and I.m okay with that. Used to wash hair daily but as I get older, and not sit in stinky bars and lounges it.s really not necessary to do it more often. In summer 2x per week, or after tanning, swimming, profuse perspiration.
I hate blow drying my hair, with the fire of 1000 suns.
I also dislike being wet and feel claustrophobic in the shower.

I live in Southeast Asia where the daily temperatures are between 88-95, everyday, all year. I'm kind of hairy and I have to walk about ten -fifteen minutes to and from the train each day. If I don't shower at least twice a day, I'm gonna stink.

When I'm back home in Boston, even when I walked to the train, usually once a day was good. Maybe I'd go to twice a day in the summer.

I am extra-smelly....so I must take 2 showers a day or else I reek like Peppy Le Pew.

Usually take one normal shower...and one shower with cold water and a block of ice to rub myself down.

As I get older I take less baths or showers. Both hubby and I shower (well I take baths) about every other day and I was my hair twice a week. The more you wash your hair according to my hair the more you activate the oil glands. I don't know if this is true or not. I do know when we water walk (3 times a week_we take a quick shower before getting in the pool, but I don't consider that a real shower or bath. When I woked I did take a shower or bath daily.

I used to shower and wash my (very short) hair every day when I was still working. Now that I'm retired I've changed my habits. The drought is a factor. We're being asked to restrict our usage to 100 gallons a day or less, so taking unnecessary showers is wasteful. Also, my hair is longer now and takes more time to blow style. So I take a shower and wash my hair only on the four days a week that I go to the gym. In between it's easy to maintain good hygiene with a soapy washcloth, wet wipes or with "bird baths" in the sink.

Of course if the circumstances warrant it, I may take an extra shower now and then. But on the whole my older, drier skin seems to appreciate less exposure to soap and hot water.

3 times a week, more depending on how strenuous my workout is and/or if I'm doing manual labor around the house. Here in the NW we don't have humidity so we sweat less. Of course I'm a pretty lazy person so that helps.

Wash my hair once a week. I think the myth that you have to wash it every day is a myth perpetuated by the shampoo industry - to sell more shampoo.

I shower once a week, generally. More if I actually get dirty, or I am going somewhere special.

I hate showering for the same reasons. It is unpleasant to stand in a narrow, person-size tub being sprayed with water, leaving me cold and wet. It makes me feel trapped.

If I am not sweating after a workout then I am not pushing myself hard enough. I shower every morning or night if I am exercising.

Interesting thread. I just assumed that 99% of people showered or bathed every day! I think it's been decades since I last took a bath though.
