Stupid question Im sure but im here at work so i figured id ask. I was scratching at my side and poked it and realized they hurt. My left side hurts more than my right side. I think those are my kidneys not sure, not real knowledgeable on the human body. Is this normal? I assume not
I havent been to the doctor for a checkup in like 20 years so..

There are muscles back there too.
I'm thinking that if you had kidney issues, you'd be experiencing some other symptoms?

Have someone pound on your back with a fist. That's what doctors do during a physical exam. If it really hurts deep inside, it could be kidneys. Just poking at it makes me think it's more likely sore muscles.
