It was five years from the time I stopped taking the pill until I conceived with the help of fertility drugs. The contraceptives hid the cause of my infertility.
I am on month 2 of trying after stopping my BCPs in December. My cycles immediately returned to 28 days on the dot. But each person is different. If you're over 35, your chances of conceiving each month are right around 20%. You'll need to give it 6 months+ before talking to your OB/Gyn about it. Expect to take as long as a year to conceive. After a year, you may need to investigate fertility treatments.
