I was working out, but radiation makes you feel very fatigued. I do a little each day, and try to get my energy back.

I love you Lily! You ALWAYS look at the bright side of everything! I want to be just like Lily when I GROW UP!

The ONLY thing I like about my body is my eyes and eyebrows. My eyes are hazel...sometimes kind of blue, usually kind of green. After 4 kids...what is there to love? Other than that I only like the fact that I am 36 and I still get carded on those RARE occasions when I buy a bottle of wine Gotta LOVE IT!

I like that I look younger than I am. My eyes are nice... I've been complimented on my legs. And just recently I was told that I have a nice smile.

Thanks for playing along guys. It's very nice to see that you all can find something that you actually can declare to the "world" that you like about yourself. It's not an easy task, especially when it can be viewed by some as being vain.

I grew up with a very severe body dismorphia issue (I won't get too personal, promise )and it was impossible for me to see past my "flaws". I was a very skinny kid/teenager and thought my body was my enemy . The wakeup call for me was when I would look at pictures of myself from years past and think, wow how could I have been uphappy about my body back then?, I would remember my mental state and how uphappy I was with my body. It really made me sad to think that this young lady (me) was hating herself, when she looked perfectly fine and had a body that not only worked but looked completely different from what she had picture it to look like. So I decided that I was wasting way too much time looking at myself with disgust and decided to find things I actually liked about my body, and then embrace them.

In the world we live in with what the media portrays is the "ideal body" it's difficult to look past what they think we should look like. Hey let's face it, if they don't convince us that we should look a certain way, they don't make money. It is in their best interest for women to have low self-esteem.

I have to say it feels good when we (especially women) can say that we are happy with at least some areas of our body, even if what's more important is on the inside.

Hi moonsavvy,

I think it is great that you guys are happy with your bodies or certain body parts. I wish I could say the same thing.

I used to be happy with my body but I'm not anymore. I'm getting older and I see it all over me. I used to be fit and lean. I used to love my legs and my stomach. To be honest, I liked almost everything about me.
But now, sadly, I truly can't think of anything I like about my body. It went from liking everything to liking nothing. It might just be a faze I'm going through as I see myself for the first time aging.

I like my hips/butt area. Most men do, when they encounter me.

I like my thighs also. They're not skinny and they're not flabby either (no cellulite). They are just perfect for me. I have the jogger's thighs (nice, toned, soft, and a cute little curve to them).

Like SandyCo, many people think that I'm younger than I actually am. I like to think that it's because I don't smoke or drink, exercise has been a fairly consistent part of my life, and being darker-toned makes tanning unnecessary. However, my flecks of gray are starting to betray me so I try to keep my head shaved.

I also like the fact that I have strong, fast legs. While I was the slowest guy on my high school track team, I'd wager that 20 or so years later, I could blow by most of them in a short race. Oh, and I've been told I have a nice butt . I suppose that could be related to the hard work on my legs.

I like that my immune system was strong enough as a kid for me to avoid any major childhood diseases.

I accepted some time ago that, without steroids or a personal trainer as my roommate , I was not going to become the big hulking mass of a man with "24-inch pythons" that I once aspired to be. So overall, I'm happy with my body... flattening-but-still-not-ideal abs notwithstanding. LOL

Hey Roma,

I appreciate your honesty. A good start for me was acknowledging that my body worked. I spent a summer in the ICU (my sister had a near fatal accident) and I saw many people (young people) come in who had been paralyzed and were never going to walk again. Thinking about those people is a good reminder for me that yes I have legs and they may have flaws but I love them because they give me freedom to move. Take care.
