I have some scars that are very red two years after skin surgery. My doctor kept saying they would fade but it never happened. He finally referred me to a skin doctor so he can try a laser to make the scars less red and visible. Does anyone have any experience with laser surgery on their skin?
Palmers Skin Fading Cream is a lot cheaper and works great. I had burned myself badly on the grill in May and it left a huge bright red scar on my arm - with Palmers it has faded down into a blend with my skin color.
I wouldn't bother with laser treatment I've tried it twice on my relatively flat scars and although it took some colour out it left brown marks around the side of the scar which weren't previously there. The best thing for scars is Cica Care (silicon strips), I've just started and can already see the effects so go buy them!
I did laser treatment on a really bad scar many years ago when laser treatments were just starting to become popular. I had great results. I had a raised, hard, red scar, and the laser flattened it out, made it soft, and took out the red. Nothing else had worked including injections in the site, silicone strips, creams, etc.
