The Republic of Indian Stream was a short-lived unrecognized state in North America from June 9, 1832 to 1835. The Republic of Indian Stream had a democratic government with a constitution, and a population of around 300 citizens. IMOD CUT

Well, at least it lasted longer than the Republic of Conch. And had more recognition (if less patriotic zeal) than the People's Republic of Boulder.

The Confederate States of America, on the other hand, lasted a little longer. But it also failed to achieve any diplomatic recognition.
