Anyone have any information on Abraham Lincoln or are familiar with this story?

Id heard somewhere on the river near the cities there was a bridge (this was I believe just before the railroads became the main source of transportation) and they used river boats as the main source.

There was always tension between the railroad and riverboat.

Evidently one day a riverboat hit a railroad bridge support and on board there was a lantern which caught the bridge on fire destroying it.

Each blamed the other for the incident.

Abraham Lincoln was a young lawyer at the time and made the effort to come to the case and investigate.

Does anyone know about this story, I think it is very intresting.

Thank you
