Can someone post some links that provide the complete story of Thanksgiving? Preferably something with the actual journal entries of the pilgrims.

Thanks!

There were no "pilgrims" present on that day in 1619. You can read more about it here:

The real story is that an original gathering has been metamorphosed into a holiday, complete with artificially created versions of turkeys that have virtually no relationship to the original animal.

And let's not forget NFL football, which few of the Pilgrims had interest in.

I once saw the original 1619 recipe for green bean casserole, and damned if it didn't call for a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of french-fried onions. I was sure they didn't have that stuff back then.

Why would I teach my children anything negative about Thanksgiving?

This is what is wrong with this country, people obsess over things that mean absolutely nothing to their future.

Well any non Indian American who feels THAT bad about the injustices done to the Indians can put his money here his mouth is and give his property to the local (or once local) Indians and take his ass back to the Old Country. Fat chance of that.
