German Jews were German. It was their country too, and many of them had fought for Germany in World War I. You are attempting to defend the indefensible.

Not even sure how he comes to the conclusion that "most Germans" supported him when he was not evene elected. He was appointed, and the NSDAP did not win the elections. Of course, once he got into office there weren't any more elections...
Only uneducated people would even try to compare Nazis and Communists. Nazis were much, much worse. Can't believe someone even asked this.

Sure, in general a native non-Jewish German living under Hitler was probably better off than a native Russian living under Stalin, but let's not forget that both were police states. If you were anti-Nazi you had to go to extreme lengths to keep that fact secret. The life of "native Russians" living under Stalin could be *variable* ( although quite unpredictable I must admit,) whereas the life of a "native German" under Hitler became quite predictable around 1941 I suppose...
That much is true. I remember reading a story about 1,000? Jews being taken by German crew on a ship to US. They were trying to deliver them to safety.
US refused to accept them, so Germans had to turn back to Europe. Few different countries gave them asylum, but sure enough many of them were taken to concentration camps after these countries were invaded. ( Except for England of course)
This is why you can't SOLELY blame Hitler/the Nazis for the murder of Jews. I think Hitler would have been happy with just deporting them all, but they kept sending them back! America and every other country that did not accept the Jewish refugees should be ashamed.
Communist are far worse, more so because they are still alive and kicking.
Our academia and media are staffed by many venerable "gauche divine" "progressives" that distribute medals of "political correctness" that still believe that Stalin and Castro are the salvation of humanity.
In Spain the situation is extreme, we have a lot of those progressives trying to rewrite history to make appear communists and socialists as "democratic victims" and not as the true origin of our civil war.
Communist and their regurgitated parties that mixed fake ecological ideas and crackpotish ideologies are a big problem here.
I'm in favour of banning them, just as they did with nazi parties.
