Personally I can see a museum wanting them but a private person wanting them would be a little creepy.
I am curious to know more about the couple that spawned such a man as Hitler, how could anyone not be. Anytime someone that evil comes along, we as a society should ask how did they come to be and look at their environment and wonder is it nature or nurture. What can you learn from a picture though. I should imagine in a museum though they would bring in a lot of attention.

No, I got the same same impression. Somebody is just a little on the ignorant side and thinks the Holocaust is the only noteworthy event of WWII. Never mind the other fifty odd million people that lost their lives.

Well, there are portrait collectors who amass large numbers of paintings of both famous and infamous people.
I would be more concerned if it were the buyer's first and only art purchase...
Things like this are sold off all the time. They ultimately end up in one of a couple places. Museums either by direct bid or the purchaser donating them to a museum. An art/portrait collector, or a WW2 memorobilia collector. The purchasers almost always stay anonymous for the exact reason as evidenced in this thread. Thankfully most hate groups that would be interested in these items for other reasons are not nearly well heeled enough to afford them. There is also a puported large number of Hitler artifacts that are acquired by Jewish collectors and then destroyed in order to keep them out of the public realm. Can't say I agree with that, but whatever floats their boat.
Overall, I don't see the big deal with these pieces. Other things should never make it onto the market, like the Holocaust jumpsuit, those types of things belong in a museum and should not have a value assigned to them.

If jews are collecting Hitler artifacts and destroying them it says to me that jews are very afraid of Hitler. Now if Hitler was as bad as some people say then there would be nothing to be afraid about. But I think that there is more to this whole destroying of artifacts and reburying Rudolf Hesse's remains. The powers that be see the powerful man that Hitler was and the power of his ideas that are still with us. Think National Socialism. What they are afraid of isn't another holocaust but this new idea.

What would be wrong with that. Hitler's parents were nice people. His mother was a loving person who loved her children and did what was best for them. Hitler's father was a somewhat rough person but he was clean living and provided well for his family. So what is there to be ashamed of?
