What is the definition of "bigger?"

Most famous?
Largest or most lasting impact?
Most righteous endeavors?

Does a David Lean Oscar winning film beat the most popular revolutionary wall poster of the '60s?

I'll go with "most lasting impact."

Lawrence was instrumental in fostering Arab nationalism and helped bring about the rise of the al-Sauds. Che died in captivity and became a fashion statement.

I'll vote for the Limey.

I would too, though a lot of Brits considered him a traitor.

Since the question is such an absurd juxtaposition of two totally unnrelated historical figures, I'll interpret "bigger" as ridiculously as I can. I'll take it to mean who was taller. I believe Lawrence was taller than Che.

You mean "Che" the tshirt image? Or Che the sociopathic murderer? You don't see Lawrence on Tshirts, but he wasn't a sociopath either.

Why even this silly comparison? Maybe the answer is in the OPs "not a member" status.

One person’s sociopathic murderer is another person’s inspirational war hero.

No, a sociopathic murderer is a sociopathic murderer. But...one persons sociopathic murderer is another persons pop-culture 'flavor of the month' cool tshirt image.

Bigger? That one needs to be quantified. In terms of lasting impact to the world, TE Lawrence and he is the one whose exploits are also better to study. His pop culture life was shorter lived, which makes Che the "bigger" icon in pop culture today. Most people don't know who TE Lawrence is, but most would recognize a picture of Che, though they probably have no idea what he was all about.
