I've only seen Island at war but it did convey a real sense of the compromise necessary to survive. It was excellent. But the ENDING... Yes, I know the writer died, but having read about the rest, most of those who left for Germany didn't come home. I wanted more.
I wish Enemy at the Door was on netflix, since the dvds are so expensive.
