An awfully sweeping question....change 800 years of European history and how would things look today?
Are we supposed to be predicting what Mongol cars and sit coms of the 21st Century would be like?

Alot of asian looking Europeans....
Really, the mongol expansion is an example of local cultures absorbing the conquerer, not the other way around. Kahn's rulers adapted the customs and religions of the provinces they conquered, that is if they didn't wipe them out first. Another thing is that Europe would have been unified much earlier then the late 20th century, as the Kahnite of Europe, if there had been one, may have survived as a unifited nation today. Think of the large countries of China and Russia which really have it's roots in the old unified Mongol system of regional tax collection.

If I am not mistaken did not a Mongol ruler offer to help Europe with fighting the Muslims? Only if Europe would have accepted this offer - think were we would be today without Isalm

I don't know about that, but Mongol's were very active in conquering Muslim territory until they were finally stopped near Egypt. However, Mongol's didn't care about religion, and were actually very accepting about religous freedom, thus it was never seen as a "crusade" or "jihad" holy war by either side. For both sides it was simply one kingdom (and the Muslims were seperated into different kingdoms just like Europe was) against the other. In conquered Islamic lands, the religion lived on and future Mongol kings adapted it.

That is very interesting! I never thought of China and Russia's huge borders coming from the Mongol System.

Or rather, think of where we would be today if Dark Age Christianity had conquered the world & quashed other religions too quickly and easily.

That would suck too! Although Dark Age Christianity sucked it is not around today - unlike Islam.

Fundamentalist Christianity is no longer around?

Christian superstition has been vanquished everywhere?

It is still very much around and quite influential, all that has changed is that is that it no longer enjoys unified political backing.
