This book was just recently released and is a GREAT photographic history of the Civil War in Pennsylvania.
I highly recommend it to anyone, even if you're not from Pennsylvania.
It comes highly lauded by many Civil War historians as a benchmark book.

In the Presence of Mine Enemies: Civil War in the Heart of America and president, University of Richmond
The Civil War in Pennsylvania History: A Photographic History is the first photo history of the war in the Commonwealth. Most of the images are from private collectors and have never been published.
"The Keystone State has long needed a photographic history worthy of its importance and its sacrifices during the American Civil War. Authors Kraus, Neville, and Turner have provided precisely that — an album marked by breathtaking beauty and expert commentary. This is a book to study, and ultimately, to treasure."
~ Harold Holzer, chairman, Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation
"This outstanding compilation of images and artifacts is beautifully designed and packed with fascinating personal interest stories. Truly riveting — a benchmark of excellence for others to emulate!"
