Aw, poor OP getting torn up here, but the Germans had primitive drones, the V1 and V2. Stalin had plans for his own drones, so it's not impossible to imagine soviet drones. Wasn't that what the Rosenberg Trial was all about, getting rid of Stalin's drones ?
